5. Whole Grains
6 oz. of grains should be incorporated in your daily meals as part of a well balanced diet to keep you in good physical shape. Today's whole grain cereals are much tastier than the cereals of old.

Mixing grains and fruits together is a great way to make surethat you get your required daily intake. You add flavor and variety to the mix. If you are a bread lover you should choose whole grain bread.Once again the whole grain breads of today are much easier to eatand enjoy.


Now here is an additional tip just for you. Stay away from food with high percentage of saturated fat, increased levels of sodium and trans fats.Make it a habit to read and checkthe ingredients labels on food packaging before buying.

It is also apparent that appropriate portion size is importantto your health and your weight.Furthermore, when you go the extra mile and include physical exercise with your healthy food option; you will be even healthier and keep your weight under control.
